On Aug 22-25, government economic and trade delegation, headed by Vice Minister Gao Hucheng, visited Czech. During the visit, Gao met with Jiri Havel, Vice Premier of Czech, Milan Urban, Minister of Industry and Trade, held talks with Vice Minister of Industry and Trade, and attended signing ceremony of Sino-Czech economic and trade contract and investment cooperation agreement.
Gao said in the meeting that in recent years, cooperation on trade and investment between China and Czech turned favorable developing tendency, especially accelerated after exchange visits of the Premiers in 2005. Cooperation fields between the two countries broadened and cooperation on telecom, environment protection and finance became noticeable in bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Czech appraised fast development of economic and trade relations with China, showed that they would support enterprises in both countries to keep enlarging cooperative fields, broadening mutual investment, and they hoped China’s enterprises keep expanding import from Czech. Meanwhile, they exchanged views on China’s complete market economy, EU anti-dumping law on leather shoes, visa to Czech of China’s businessmen, imbalance of trade and IPR protection.
During the visit, Sinochem International and China National Township Enterprises Corporation signed purchase contact with Czech’s enterprise on natural rubber, chemical product and medicine, etc.
