Vice Minister Gao Hucheng Attending National Work Conference on Import and Export in Hefei

National work conference on import and export, sponsored by MOFCOM and undertook by Anhui Department of Commerce, held in Hefei in the morning on Nov 13 2006. Vice Minister Gao Hucheng attended the conference and made a special report on accelerating transform of growth mode and realizing sustained development for foreign trade. He firstly summarized China's achievement and current difficulties in foreign trade development, and then analyzed new situation regarding internal and international aspects. It mainly analyzed significance and necessity in accelerating China's foreign trade growth mode and put forward relations and work that should be grasped and undertaken for such transformation. The report also put forward expectation and requirement over further work.

Vice Governor of Anhui Sun Zhigang attended and addressed the conference. Over 160 comrades attended the conference who came from relevant ministries, departments of central committee, administration of foreign trade in provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, cities under separate state plan, special commissioner's offices and associations for import and export.

Vice Minister Gao also attended Anhui symposium on commercial work and symposium for special commissioners of MOFCOM, and visited such ventures like Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Unilever.
