National Work Conference on Industry Injury Investigation and Safety Maintenance Held in Changsha

  

From May 10 to 11, Ministry of Commerce held a national work conference on industry injury investigation and safety maintenance in Changsha. It is a national conference held for discussing industry safety by the ministry, all local authorities of commerce and industrial associations and organizations. Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng was present at the conference and delivered a speech.

After analyzing the situation confronting with the work, Gao pointed out that industry safety maintenance was one of the key works of the ministry. The ministry has taken the work of promoting consumption and cutting down trade surplus as its key task in 2007. Knowing the importance of expanding export and cutting trade surplus, moderately conducting relationship between expanding export and protecting domestic industries, and strengthening safety maintenance should be done by the ministry from the height of implementing scientific developing outlook and building up a harmonious society. All local authorities and industries should attach more attention to utilizing trade remedy measures under export expansion so as to improve the capability for advancing and self protecting. With the aim of promote complete competitiveness and create a favorable environment, local authorities should enlarge views of protecting domestic industries, expand service trade’s development, strengthen industry injury alarm system, and perfect industry safety maintenance system.

Director Yang Yi of Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation reviewed the work in 2006 and deployed the work of 2007.

Representatives from departments of state council, local authorities of commerce, industrial associations, chambers and intermediary institutions were present at the conference.
